Kernel sunflower oil sales down 12%

In 9M FY2020, Kernel cut sunflower oil sales by 12% to 1.03 mln t (9M FY2020: 1.17 mln t).

Oilseeds processing increased by 11% to 2.52 mln t in 9M FY2020 from 2.27 mln t in the prior year's comparative period.

The company is running crushing plants at full capacity thus progressing on the guidance to process 3.3 mln t of sunflower seeds for the whole FY2020, the report reads.

Kernel processed 940.7 thou. t of oilseeds in Q3 FY2020, a 4% increase y-o-y (Q3 FY2020: 908.2).

Volumes of edible oil sold in Q3 FY2020 amounted to 381 thou. t, down 2% y-o-y. Sales of bottled sunflower oil reached 10% of total sales volumes (39 thou. t) in January-March 2020.

Earlier it was reported that Kernel plans to finalize the construction and commission of the Starokostiantyniv crushing plant by the end of 2021.
