Producers in Dnipropetrovsk region harvested first million tons of grain
Agrarians in Dnipropetrovsk region have harvested the first million tons of grain. By this indicator, the region is among the three leaders in Ukraine, Dnipropetrovsk Region State Administration reports.
"Agriproducers of the region have already harvested 1.135 mln t of early grain and leguminous crops. In this regard, they are among the three leaders in Ukraine together with Kherson and Mykolaiv regions. Harvesting is progressing on schedule. The agrarians plan to complete it at the end of July," said Petro Lashyn, Director of the Department of Economic Development at the Administration.
As reported, over 710 thou. t of winter wheat, 305 thou. t of winter barley, 89 thou. t of spring barley, 24 thou. t of peas have been harvested in the region.
Harvesting of the industrial oilseed crop, winter rapeseed, is in progress. 130 thou. t of the crop has already been threshed.
The campaign in the region will cover 760 thou. ha.
