Early grains yield 4.6 t/ha on average in Kharkiv region

Agriproducers of Kharkiv region have harvested 2.5 mln t of early grain and leguminous crops, Kharkiv Region State Administration reports.

New harvest wheat volume reached 2 mln t, barley 400 thou. t, peas 43.6 thou. t, winter rye 6.7 thou. t, oats 5 thou. t.

"As of July 29, crops have been harvested on more than 535 thou. ha or 75% of the total area under winter crops in the region," the report reads.

Early grains yield 4.61 t/ha on average. Farms of Bogodukhiv district have completed harvesting of early grains and legumes. Five districts of the region harvested over 100 thou. t of crops: farms of Vovchanskyi (141.4 thou. t), Balakliiskyi (125.6 thou. t), Velykoburlutskyi (124 thou. t), Pervomaiskyi (116.2 thou. t) and Barvinkivskyi (108.4 thou. t) districts harvested the highest bulk yield.

As reported, the highest yield so far has been achieved by agricultural producers of Chuhuivskyi district – 6.3 t/ha. High results in terms of average yield have also been achieved by Krasnohradskyi district (5.54 t/ha), Velykoburlutskyi district (5.36 t/ha), Pervomaiskyi district (5.18 t/ha) and Valkivskyi district (5.08 t/ha).

Since the start of 2020/21, staple grains export shipment from Ukraine has reached 1.14 mln t. As of July 24, agricultural commodities shipment reduced by 1.32 mln t from the prior year's comparative period, 2.43 mln t.
