Prices for all commodities fell sharply in Chicago yesterday Aug. 4 as good weather conditions are favouring soybean and corn crops, the Agritel consultancy informs.
It is reported that the US wheat, for its part, remains under pressure due to disappointing export activity.
In soybean, the crop rating posted on Monday (73% as good to excellent) suggests a potential record harvest. The corn also benefits from recent days’ rainfall at the crucial stage of flowering.
Previously reported that since the start of 2020/21, staple grains export shipment from Ukraine has reached 2.52 mln t. As of August 3, agricultural commodities shipment dropped by 36% YoY.
