Ascet Shipping Berdyansk branch shipped 146 thou. t of ag commodities for export in September

Berdyansk branch of Ascet Shipping will increase a monthly volume of cargo shipment to 150 thou. t, the branch director Viktoria Abreeva announced on Facebook.

"Our plan for the first half of the marketing year(September-February) is to handle about 150 thou. t of cargoes per month. In September we started filling storages with sunflower meal, cake and sunflower seeds, export shipments of which are planned for October," said Victoria Abreeva.

As reported, in September Ascet Shipping maintained high transshipment rates in Berdyansk: the monthly handling volume stood at 146 thou. t.

Nomenclature of company's cargoes for this period included wheat, barley, peas, soybean meal. Libya, Egypt, Turkey, Israel, Greece and Italy were the countries of destination.

Previously reported that within nine months of 2020, port operators in Ukrainian maritime ports handled 118.7 mln t of cargo, 4.2 mln t or 3.7% more YoY.
