Ukraine's Jan-Sep sea port grain exports total over 35 mln t

Within nine months of 2020, port operators in Ukrainian maritime ports handled 118.7 mln t of cargo, 4.2 mln t or 3.7% more YoY, the Ukrainian Sea Ports Administration (USPA) reports.

Ore and grain cargoes dominate the cargo transshipment structure. In the reporting period, grain cargo accounted for 35.3 mln t of transshipment.

Vegetable oils shipment increased by 5.6% to 4.49 mln t.

According to the USPA data, export cargo transshipment rose to 91.1 mln t (+5.6%), coastwise to 1.8 mln t (+31%); negative dynamics of import cargoes to 18 mln to (-3.1%) and transit cargoes to 7.7 mln t (-5.5%).

Earlier it was reported that staple grains export shipment from Ukraine reached 12.32 mln t as of October 5.
