China dominates Ukraine's sunflowerseeds oil export in September, key importers list

In September 2020/21(September-August), China imported the largest volume of unrefined sunflowerseed oil from Ukraine for the amount of USD 76.3 mln, which makes up 36.7% of total exports, the Association Ukroilprom reports.
Ukraine's sunflower oil exports totalled 273.58 thou. t in September of the current year. The supply is estimated at USD 208 mln.

Key importing countries of unrefined sunflower oil in September 2020/21:
- China: 36.7% of the total supply worth USD 76.3 mln
- India: 32.1%, USD 66.7 mln
- Netherlands: 10.9%, USD 22.6 mln
- Saudi Arabia: 2.9%, USD 6.1 mln
- Italy: 2.3%, USD 4.9 mln
- Poland: 2.2%, USD 4.6 mln
- UK: 2.1%, USD 4.3 mln
- Spain: 1.8%, USD 3.7 mln
- France: 1.6%, USD 3.4 mln
- Egypt: 1.1%, USD 2.3 mln
- Portugal: 1.1%, USD 2.21 mln
- Lebanon: 1%, USD 2 mln
The EU countries imported 21.5% of the total supply of unrefined sunflower oil from Ukraine in September, which is worth USD 44.6 mln.
In the period of January-September 2020, sunflowerseed, safflower and cotton oil export from Ukraine totalled 4.99 mln t, 22% higher YoY.
The production of basic types of unrefined vegetable oils in Ukraine in 2019/20 amounted to 6.33 mln t.
