Flour production in Ukraine fell to its lowest since 1999

In January 2021, 84.9 thou. t of flour were produced in Ukraine, the lowest monthly total since 1999, the data of millers association show.
"This volume is 2.5x lower than in January 2000. The average monthly flour production in July-January 2020/21 was 114.2 thou. t," the association's experts note.
Wheat flour production in Ukraine in 2020/21 is expected to decrease by 9.7%, to 1.96 mln t, while exports will fall 2.5x, to less than 130 thou. t against rising wheat prices.
As of March 5, flour export from Ukraine totalled 93.8 thou. t, 162.2 thou. t less YoY.
