Agrarian Ministry commenced preparations procedures for full start

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food expects to complete all procedures necessary to start full operation in the shortest possible time and begin recruiting staff, Minister for Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Roman Leshchenko states.

"The approval of the budget of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy gives us grounds to start the actual launch of all the procedures required to be fully operational. First, we need to work out and agree with the Finance Ministry on the structure, budget and staff schedule. We expect to complete all procedures as soon as possible and begin recruiting staff. The ministry needs around 200 specialists," he comments.

The ministry added that the formation of the staff requires additional time, but that some employees may return to Agrarian Ministry through a transfer procedure. The increase in the number of staff will be introduced gradually.

As a reminder, Roman Leshchenko was appointed the Minister for Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine in late 2020.
