Agrotrade started purchasing farmland

Agrotrade Group managed to buy the first plots of farmland in Kharkiv and Chernihiv region on the launch day of the land market in Ukraine, on 1 July 2021.

"In fact, the procedure has proven to be rather complicated. In some places, notaries do not have a definite procedure by which they should carry out sales transactions. Thus, they are advised to postpone land sales transactions, and as late as last night [30 June – ed. note] there were talks on the procedure for transactions, some notaries refuse to carry out such transactions at all," the company explains.

As Agrotrade sees it, the owners and buyers of the land were satisfied after signing the sale and purchase agreement, the payment for the land was immediately transferred to the sellers' bank accounts.

The farmland market in Ukraine was started on 1 July 2021. The right of ownership to agricultural land may be obtained only by the citizens of Ukraine and not more than 100 ha per person, and the state. The right to purchase land will be given to legal entities in 2024.
