Two MHP facilities received ISCC certification

Two of MHP agro-industrial holding's companies, MHP Food Trading and Katerynopilsky Elevator, have confirmed compliance with the ISCC European environmental standards.

ISCC EU certification significantly strengthens the producer's market position. In 2021-22, with ISCC certification MHP expects to make more than USD 1 mln in additional profit from rapeseed and corn exports.

During compliance audits, certification body auditors study and evaluate the production and logistics cycle in terms of appropriate storage and application of fertilizers by raw material suppliers, sustainable use and protection of land and water resources, and control and evaluation of greenhouse gas emissions from growing, processing and transportation of grains.

"By the time of procurement, we need to ensure that our suppliers, including MHP Group companies, meet the requirements of the international ISCC standard. MHP's ecologists conduct internal audits of suppliers and, if necessary, make a corrective actions plan for them to improve internal standards to meet ISCC requirements," the company says in a statement.

As reported, the list of suppliers subject to audits varies every year.

In 1Q 2021, MHP paid UAH 1.204 bln of taxes to budgets of all levels.
