Harvest Online 2021: wheat campaign coming to an end in Ukraine

As of 26 August, agriproducers in Ukraine harvested 44.4 mln t of new crop grain on 10.1 mln ha, 63% of the projected area. Early grain and leguminous crops yield 4.4 t/ha on average.

Under the data of the project Harvest Online 2021, new crop bulk yield:

  • wheat (winter and spring): 32.52 mln t on 7.04 mln ha (99% of the total area), using the average yield of 4.62 t/ha
  • barley (winter and spring): 10.09 mln t on 2.46 mln ha (99%), 4.1 t/ha
  • rapeseed: 2.79 mln t on 1 mln ha (99%), 2.77 t/ha
  • peas: 569.89 thou. t on 242.4 thou. ha (100%), 2.35 t/ha
  • millet: 19.91 thou. t on 11.73 thou. ha (15%), 1.7 t/ha
  • sunflower: 9 thou. t on 4.5 thou. ha, 2 t/ha
  • buckwheat: 7.75 thou. t on 6.66 thou. ha (8%), 1.16 t/ha

Wheat production in Ukraine in the crop year 2021 is projected at 31.2 mln t, 26% up YoY.

Agriproducers of Khmelnytsky region reported 6.3 t/ha of the average yield of early grains, an indicator highest in Ukraine in the current crop year.
