Over 50 thou. ha of farmland sold in Ukraine by Sept 23

As of 23 September, the number of farmland sale transactions in Ukraine totalled 20,392, the Agrarian Ministry reports. The area of land under registered transactions is 50,246.97 ha.

The highest number of land sale transactions in regions as of 23 September:

  • Poltava: 1,780
  • Kyiv: 1,708
  • Khmelnytsky: 1,634
  • Kharkiv: 1,539
  • Vinnytsya: 1,513
  • Sumy: 1,328
  • Kirovohrad: 1,264

The largest farmland volume sold in Ukraine by regions:

  • Kirovograd: 8,409.4 ha
  • Kharkiv: 5,799.5 ha
  • Poltava: 4,652.5 ha
  • Dnipropetrovsk: 4,303.6 ha
  • Kherson: 3,475.2 ha

The StateGeocadastre projected the cost of farmland in Ukraine upon land market opening with the highest being traded in Cherkasy region and the lowest in Chernihiv.

Farmland market for individuals—citizens of Ukraine, not more than 100 ha per person—was opened on July 1, 2021.
