Grain elevator worth USD 10 mln commissioned in west-central Ukraine
The company MVA Bar commissioned a 40 thou. t grain elevator in Vinnytsya region, Letychiv Agro, Elevatorist.com reports.
"Our fields are located in Litynsky and Letychiv districts, hence we were searching for a spot where a railway junction could be. The two options for construction were Khmil'nyk and Bar towns in Vinnytsya region. But since there are already some five grain storages in Khmil'nyk, we decided that we do not need extra competition, and chose Bar," comments the owner and director of Pi Consult, managing partner of MVA Group Konstantin Piven.
The grain storage facility was built on the territory of the former sugar factory in a little less than a year. The construction of the grain elevator began in September 2020, and it was put into operation in August 2021. The total investment was over USD 10 mln.
Letychiv Agro grain elevator has already started receiving both its own grain and from third parties. Since the launch, the company has received about 10 thou. t of grain, including wheat, rapeseed and sunflower.
In the next few days, the active reception of new crop corn will begin. In the 2021/22 season, the MVA Bar elevator is expected to do three turnovers: one with the company's own grain and two more in partnership with customers.
Transport equipment and silos for the elevator were supplied by the Canadian company Ag Growth International (AGI). Hopper silos produced by KMZ Industries were installed at the enterprise. Storage capacity is composed of 8 silos of 5 thou. t each. Hoppers are 1 thou. cubic meters each. The company also has two French Law dryers and cleaning equipment of Ukrainian manufacturer OLIS with the capacity of 37.5 t/hour and 175 t/hour, respectively.
The company Elevatorpromservice supplied the truck.
Previously reported that Continental Farmers Group (CFG) purchased a grain storage in western Ukraine. Its storage capacity is 87.5 thou. t.
