Sowing Online 2021/22: producers in Ukraine plant 97% of winter rapeseed areas

As of 11 October, winter crops planting in Ukraine was completed on 4.7 mln ha, representing 60% of the projected area (7.84 mln ha). Sumy region is the first in Ukraine to complete winter grains planting, 100% of the planned area was covered.
Sowing progress as of the reporting date:
- winter wheat: 4.2 mln ha, 63% of 6.68 mln ha
- winter barley: 389 thou. ha, 38% of 1.02 mln ha
- winter rye: 120 thou. ha, 75% of 160.65 thou. ha
Winter rapeseed sowing in Ukraine was 97% completed on 1 mln ha of the planned 1.03 mln ha. This oilseed crop sowing was finalized in 18 regions. Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions exceeded the planned areas having sown 105% and 109% of rapeseed, respectively.
The new crop progress in Ukraine as of 7 October came to 49.37 mln t of grains and legumes on 11.19 mln ha. The average yield made up 4.41 t/ha.
