Farmland sale transactions cover 131 thou. ha in Ukraine

As of 26 November, the number of farmland sale transactions in Ukraine totalled 52,117, the Agrarian Ministry reports. The area of land under registered transactions is 130,916 ha.

The highest number of land sale transactions in regions as of 26 November:

• Kharkiv: 4,925
• Poltava: 3,967
• Kyiv: 3,965
• Sumy: 3,674
• Vinnytsya: 3,660

Largest farmland volume sold in regions:

• Kharkiv: 18148,8 ha
• Kirovohrad: 14806,1 ha
• Dnipropetrovsk: 11331,2 ha
• Poltava: 10896,8 ha
• Kherson: 10012,5 ha

The StateGeocadastre projected the cost of farmland in Ukraine upon land market opening with the highest being traded in Cherkasy region and the lowest in Chernihiv.

Farmland market for individuals—citizens of Ukraine, not more than 100 ha per person—was opened on July 1, 2021.
