AMCU charges Radekhiv Sugar UAH 1 mln for violation of economic competition

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) fined the company Radekhiv Sugar (Pavliv village, Radehiv district, Lviv region) UAH 1.02 mln for violating legislation on the protection of economic competition.

Radekhiv Sugar was fined UAH 510 thou. for violating legislation on the protection of economic competition through concentration by acquiring control over a significant share of the assets of the sugar factory in the town of Zbarazh in Ternopil region. The company was previously owned by the public limited company Joint-Stock Commercial Industrial and Investment Bank (Kyiv). Radekhiv Sugar took over control of the plant in Zbarazh without obtaining the required permission from the AMCU authorities.

Besides, the company was fined another UAH 510 thou. for the violation of legislation on the protection of economic competition in the form of concentration by acquiring control over a significant part of the assets of the sugar factory in the village of Kozova in Ternopil region, which belonged to Joint-Stock Commercial Industrial-Investment Bank.
