DP World to deliver Ukrainian agricultural commodities to Romanian port of Constanța

DP World, one of the global leaders in supply chain solutions, will transport Ukrainian agricultural commodities to the Romanian Port of Constanța, Railfreight reports.

To improve shipments to the port of Constanța by rail, a recently authorized terminal in Dornești will be employed.

A new rail route, which may start soon, will connect the train station Vadul-Siret in Ukraine with the company's hub terminal in the port of Constanța via Dornești.

"The latter was developed into a functioning terminal by DP World swiftly to alleviate congestion in Constanța and serve the company’s multimodal expansion in Romania," the message reads.

The new rail service has the capacity to make up to five runs a week, and the trains can carry up to 50 containers at a time.

In 2020, DP World bought a 51% stake in TIS Container Terminal in the Port of Pivdenny in Ukraine.
