russia shelled Chinese corporation's terminal in Mykolaiv port, 17 thou. t of sunflower oil destroyed

russia shelled export terminals leased by a Chinese corporation in the port of Mykolaiv. As a result of the attack, 17 thou. t of sunflower oil were destroyed, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Oleg Nikolenko reported on Facebook.

"russian federation shelled an export terminal rented by a Chinese corporation in the port of Mykolaiv. 17 thou. t of sunflower oil worth US$ 26 mln was destroyed. Another terminal owned by China is under the threat of shelling," he wrote.

He added that the MFA constantly calls the attention of the international community to the deliberate destruction by russia of agricultural terminals in Ukraine as part of the kremlin's strategy to disrupt global food security.

"The shelling of the Chinese terminal in the port of Mykolaiv reaffirms the importance of intensifying efforts on the part of Beijing to end russia's war against Ukraine. We call on the Chinese side to demand moscow to immediately stop attacks on Ukrainian critical infrastructure to protect in particular the property of Chinese enterprises," Oleg Nikolenko urged.

In less than a month, it is the second attack committed by russia against the portside export infrastructure of Mykolaiv. In mid-October, another vegetable oils export terminal was severely damaged by kamikaze drones purchased by a terrorist state russia from Iran.

On October 13, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) recognized russia as a terrorist state.
