Torchyn factory and Volyn Production Network will become the company's European Regional Hub for Food and Culinary products. The Hub will employ 1,500 people and aim to supply both Ukrainian and all other European markets.

"I am proud to confirm our commitment to invest in Ukraine. This is an important move for Nestlé, taken in a very challenging time for the country. We aim to create a Food and Culinary Hub, ensuring incremental jobs and serve the needs of Ukrainians and all European Citizens with high quality products," said Alessandro Zanelli, Nestlé CEO South Eastern Europe Market.

On March 2 and 4, Nestlé released its first reaction to the events taking place in Ukraine. The posts stated that the company condemns russian actions and provides humanitarian aid to residents of the occupied cities and regions with active hostilities.

After a wave of hate from millions of consumers around the world, the manufacturer partially suspended exports and imports of certain products to russia, as well as cancelled its investment plans.
