Ukraine wheat export limit for 2024/25 to be set at 15 mln t
The maximum export volume of Ukrainian wheat in 2024/25 MY is proposed to be set at 15.2 mln tons. This volume is stated in the annex to the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and the grain market players, APK-Inform reports.
"The maximum export volume of wheat and a mixture of wheat and rye (meslin) of all classes is 15.2 million tons," the draft annex reads.
For other grain crops, the draft annex does not specify the volumes of their permissible exports.
President of the Ukrainian Grain Association (UGA) Mykola Gorbachov told Latifundist.com that the wheat export limit has not yet been officially approved.
The UGA suggests setting this figure at 17 million tons. Following today's meeting, the parties agreed to 16.2 million tons (instead of the 15.2 million tons proposed by the Ministry). Gorbachov noted that another round of talks is scheduled for August 26 when the ultimate figure is approved.
