Continental Farmers Group has started harvesting its potato crop. Digging is underway in both regions: chip potatoes in Lviv and early seed varieties in Ternopil, with food varieties still to be harvested.

Work began after rainfall, which improved soil structure and created favourable conditions for quality potato digging. This season, the company will harvest potatoes from 2,100 ha, with harvesting continuing until the end of October.

Since the beginning of the year, Continental has purchased modern machinery and equipment for its potato production segment worth over €1.85 million.

The key investment is Ukraine’s first self-propelled, four-row, third-generation potato harvester with 460 hp, currently operating in Lviv region.

Additionally, the company acquired a full set of auxiliary equipment, including a transfer trailer, receiving hopper, optical sorter, potato picker, and calibration and storage equipment.
