In early October, the Latifundist Media team will launch its traditional AgroExpedition — an annual crop tour that has been held since 2013.

The tour will take place from October 13 to 17, 2025, covering all key regions of Ukraine — central, northern, southern, eastern, and western parts. The program includes visits to farms of various scales, from large agricultural holdings to family farms.

The purpose of the expedition is to showcase the real condition of the fields, crop structure, cultivation and protection technologies, and discuss the main challenges of the season directly with farmers. Special attention will be paid to:

  • development of winter rapeseed crops;

  • the progress of winter grain sowing for the 2026 harvest;

  • the impact of climatic shocks and their consequences for yields;

  • crop rotation changes driven by new market realities.

Following the traditional format, the Latifundist team will visit one or two farms per day, meeting with agronomists, managers, machine operators, and technical specialists.

KWS-UKRAINE and Crédit Agricole Bank are& partners of AgroExpedition 2025.

Crédit Agricole Bank emphasizes that in 2025, most Ukrainian farmers felt the increasing impact of climate risks on production. April frosts negatively affected rapeseed and wheat yields, while prolonged droughts in southern and southeastern regions reduced sunflower productivity. As a result, total sunflower output this season is expected to be lower — around 12.7 million tons, which will affect prices and oil producers’ margins.

The situation with corn is more optimistic: in the main production regions, rainfall came at the right time. However, autumn rains are now forcing producers to allocate extra budgets for drying late crops.

“Within this agro tour, we plan to conduct a regional assessment of the decisions made by producers for the 2026 production season. Only by understanding their steps can we properly support them and provide the most suitable financial solutions and instruments.”
Ihor Hurzhiy, Head of Agro Expertise Department, Crédit Agricole Bank

“The 2025 season has confirmed the main trend of recent years: the key factor is not just yield, but stability under changing conditions. Uneven moisture distribution and narrow spring sowing windows once again highlighted the importance of stress resistance and hybrid flexibility.”
Viktoria Taran, Marketing and Communications Director, KWS UKRAINE

She added that for sunflower, the combination of disease resistance and weather stress tolerance was crucial this year. The updated hybrid portfolio has provided growers with a wider range of options for different growing conditions.

Regarding corn, the season demanded hybrids capable of withstanding cold at early stages and maintaining drought tolerance during grain filling — the traits that defined this year’s leaders.

“As part of AgroExpedition, we plan to showcase our partner farmers, KWS products in their growing technologies, the challenges of the current season, and the solutions KWS UKRAINE offers. We’ll also discuss the upcoming season and new products already available for ordering. KWS UKRAINE remains a reliable seed partner that not only supplies seeds but builds Ukraine’s agricultural future together with farmers.”
