Continental Farmers Group has completed potato harvesting across more than 2,100 hectares in Lviv and Ternopil regions.
Specifically, the company harvested chip potato varieties from 1,270 hectares, table potatoes from 496 hectares, and seed potatoes from 356 hectares.
According to Andriy Bednarskyi, Head of the Potato cluster, this year’s growing season was atypical.
“We ensured thorough planning, careful process management, and consistently high work quality. At the same time, the total potato harvest exceeded planned volumes by an average of 18%. During harvesting, we had to redistribute the load across our storage capacities. The team handled all challenges successfully while maintaining the required quality standards,” he said.
The company noted that its new third-generation potato harvester — the most advanced in Ukraine — helped boost operational efficiency.
Meanwhile, Continental is already actively preparing fields for next year’s potato crop: the crop will cover a similar area in the 2026 season — around 2,100 hectares. The company is also completing the harvesting of late-season grain crops.
