Poland leads EU demand for Ukrainian soybean oil in November

In recent years, the European Union and Asian countries have remained the biggest buyers of Ukrainian vegetable oils, and November 2025 was no exception. Over 50% of all oil sold was exported to the EU, while 43.6% was purchased by Asian countries, according to AgroDigest’s monthly overview of changes in Ukraine’s agricultural trade.

In November 2025, the highest demand for Ukrainian oil came from the Netherlands, Spain, and Poland. Poland was the primary destination for soybean oil exports, although the product was also actively shipped to other EU countries.

Last month, soybean oil exports decreased by 17.1%, falling to 39.8 thousand tons. Sunflower oil exports, on the contrary, increased by 10.6% to 409.3 thousand tons. Rapeseed oil saw the steepest decline at minus 26.8%.

As for sunflower oil, its key shipments continue to go to the EU and Asia. In November, the largest buyers of Ukrainian sunflower oil included Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, and India. African countries are not a major market, with most importing only small volumes.
