Ukraine cuts flour exports to key destinations

In the 2025/26 season, Ukraine may export around 65,000 tons of wheat flour, down 2.6% from the previous marketing year (67,000 tons), according to APK-Inform.

In the first seven months of the 2025/26 marketing year, Ukraine’s flour exports totalled 37,500 tons, which is 7% lower year-on-year. In particular, January shipments amounted to 4,300 tons, down 23% compared with the same month last year.

Moldova (30% of total exports), Palestine (20%), and the Czech Republic (16%) remain the key export destinations this season. However, shipments to all three markets declined compared with the previous season. In July–January, Moldova imported 11,400 tons of Ukrainian flour (–8%), Palestine 7,300 tons (–10%), while deliveries to the Czech Republic fell sharply by 32% to 5,900 tons.

Against this backdrop, Israel and Spain increased their imports, purchasing 3,000 tons and 2,700 tons of Ukrainian flour, respectively.

Analysts attribute the downward revision of export estimates to an expected decline in flour production in Ukraine. Overall, flour output in the country totalled 510,500 tons in July–January 2025/26 MY, which is 10% less than in the same period of the previous season.
