Ukraine to reach record rapeseed and soybean processing volumes this season — Ukroilprom
In the 2025/26 marketing year, Ukraine is expected to achieve record rapeseed and soybean processing volumes. Rapeseed processing could reach 1.7 million tons (over 50% of the gross harvest), while soybean processing may total 3 million tons (over 60% of the crop), according to MP Dmytro Kysylevskyi, coordinator of the “Made in Ukraine” policy initiative, citing data from Ukroilprom.
This would allow the production of approximately 720,000 tons of rapeseed oil and 600,000 tons of soybean oil — record levels for the industry.
In July–December 2025, rapeseed crushing for oil increased 1.8 times compared to the previous season. Rapeseed oil exports also rose 1.8 times, while foreign currency revenues grew 2.2 times. Production and exports of rapeseed meal increased 1.8 and 1.7 times, respectively.
According to Ukroilprom, in September–December 2025, soybean oil production increased by 22.4% year-on-year, exports rose by 23.3%, and foreign currency revenues grew 1.5 times. Soybean processing into oil and meal exceeded export volumes by 3.7%.
Kysylevskyi believes that this growth is driven by the introduction of export duties on soybeans and rapeseed.
