The state fleet of the French railway has no grain cars
The state enterprise SNCF, which manages French railways, does not have grain hopper cars in its fleet.
Project participants L.A B. were told about this at a meeting at the Socomac terminal in the port of Rouen.
Only private companies possess grain hopper cars.
The terminal manager Frederic Monchablon also said that among other means of transport, it is most difficult to organize planning regarding the railway, since it is necessary to negotiate with the SNCF, which ultimately determines how many trains it will be able to pass.
It is noteworthy that the Socomac terminal accepts only 5% of grain from the railway transport.
