Ukraine since the beginning of 2017 received 91 notifications on the grain quality

Ukraine since the beginning of 2017 has received 91 notifications on the quality of exported grain. Over the past year, there were 80 claims from importers.

This was reported by Vadim Tchaikovsky, Deputy Head of the Office of Phytosanitary Security of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, in the framework of the conference Export of grain from Ukraine 2017, writes Elevatorist.com.

Vadim Tchaikovsky informed that Ukraine received 86 notifications from India, 3 from Belarus and 2 from Indonesia.

"In the current season, notifications from Indonesia were received due to inefficient fumigation. There is a risk of losing this market for Ukrainian grain. It is not excluded that due to such actions it will be necessary to apply to the National Security Council and initiate the  of segment regulation," noted Vadim Tchaikovsky.

According to him, in November 2017, it is planned to sign phytosanitary requirements with Indonesia.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine from the beginning of MY 2017/18 as of November 1, 2017 exported 13.51 million tons of grain, which is 830 thousand tons less than for the same period last year.
