IFC to simplify crop receipts registration in Ukraine

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) plans to simplify the registration of crop receipts in Ukraine.

This was stated by Lia Soroka, the project manager of IFC Development of Agrarian Sector Finance in Europe and Central Asia, in the framework of the round table Agribusiness in Ukraine: The Great Game, organized by the law firm Aequo.

"We are going to simplify the registration of cropl receipts, in particular, with the help of notaries. We want this tool to be used by as many farmers as possible," she said.

According to her, currently, crop receipts are mainly used for grains and oilseeds. IFC intends to expand the range of cultures. It is planned to use this tool for buckwheat and dairy products.

"Now the receipts are valid in 8 regions: Vinnitsa, Poltava, Cherkassy, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Ternopil and Khmelnytsky. Next year we plan to extend them all over Ukraine," concluded Lia Soroka.
