Grain transshipment in sea ports in January-October increased to 32.7 MT

The seaports of Ukraine in January-October 2017 provided for the transshipment of 32.66 million tons of grain, which is 5.26% more than for the same period last year.

The Ukrainian Sea Ports Administration (USPA) reports that the following seaports are the leaders in grain transshipment:

  • Nikolaev — 7.57 million tons (+5.25% compared to the same period last year);
  • Yuzhnyi — 7.11 million tons (+10.54%);
  • Chernomorsk — 6.58 million tons (+7.74%);
  • Odessa — 6.58 million tons (–3.02%);
  • Olvia — 2.79 million tons (+35.03%).

From the beginning of MY 2017/18, as of November 8, 2017, Ukraine exported 14.26 million tons of grain, which is 147 thousand tons less than for the same period of the previous year.
