Danosha plans to build the second biogas plant in late 2019

The company Danosha plans the construction of the second biogas plant in late 2019. This was informed by Ivan Kalkovets, Director of Danosha biogas plant, in the workshop IV British-Ukrainian Agribusiness Forum "Sustainable Development in Agribusiness at Agro Spring 2018 exhibition.

According to him, the holding considers the biogas plant as a separate business. It can be involved in processing products from other industries: milk-processing and sugar plants, distilleries, and agricultural enterprises.

He noted that the biogas plant of Danosha started operating more than 4 years ago, but it has been working at full capacity only for 2 years. In 2015, it provided energy for 7 pig farms with a total livestock of 14 thousand sows.

According to Ivan Kalkovets, the company's policy is to produce a clean product with zero emissions of carbon dioxide. Therefore, the production will be supported by waste recycling for the disposal of CO². For this purpose a new biogas plant will be built.

"We cooperate in this area with the Danish project organization. We plan to launch another biogas plant at the end of 2019. It will be a 1.5 MW capacity plant with fermentation at 9.5 thousand," Ivan Kalkovets said.

Despite the legislative changes regarding the "green tariff", the motto of Danosha remains unchanged — Biogas in every house!
