Kernel constructing elevators in Sumy and Chernigov regions — Osipov

The company Kernel is constructing two new elevators in Sumy and Chernigov regions, Yevgeny Osipov, the CEO of Kernel, informed in the interview for Latifundist.com.

"We are building two new elevators in Sumy and Chernigov regions with the receiving capacity of up to 8 thou. tons/day, storage capacity of 130-160 thou. tons. We are also reconstructing old elevators. At the same time, we are now ingaging in bioenergy projects, production of electricity at our oil extraction plants. This is energy independence, and these are projects that can have a fairly good payback," says Yevgeny Osipov.

The CEO of the company stressed that the general investment program for the next few years amounts to more than USD 500 million.

Also, Kernel plans to launch the first phase of the new terminal of Chernomorsk sea trading port. The expected volume of transshipment is 4 million tons.

Reference: the company Kernel plans to reduce the land bank to 560 thou. hectares.
