Sunflower oil exports in Jan-Mar dropped 11%

Export of sunflower oil from Ukraine in January-March 2018 amounted to 1.41 million tons for the amount of USD 1.06 billion. This volume is 11.07% less than over the corresponding period last year.

The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine (SFS) reports that the major importers of sunflower oil in the reporting period are India (USD 507.85 million), Iraq (USD 71.59 million) and Spain (USD 66.23 million). Exports to these countries amounted to 676.17 thou. tons, 95.3 thou. tons and 88.23 thou. tons, respectively.

Note: in 2017, Ukraine exported 5.76 million tons of sunflower oil for the amount of USD 4.3 billion.
