Astarta obtained 25 international certificates in 2017

In 2017, plants of the agri-industrial holding Astarta-Kyiv received and confirmed on average 25 international certificates under ISO 22000, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 certification schemes.

Globyno sugar plant, Novoorzhitsky sugar plant and Globyno processing plant passed certification according to the international standard ISO 50001 "Energy Management Systems".

"Certification of production according to international standards is part of investment programs and a ticket to new markets," the message says.

Reference: Astarta-Kyiv increased the share of first category sugar to 86% of total production (compared to 71% in the previous season). This was the result of company’s long-term investment strategy of sugar plants modernization.

Note: ISO 22000 is a standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization dealing with food safety. It is a general derivative of ISO 9000.
