43 MT of grains to be exported from Ukraine in 2018/19

In MY2018/19, the volume of grain exports from Ukraine may increase by 6% in comparison with the indicator expected in the current season (40.6 million tons). Thus, grain exports are expected to reach 43.3 million tons.

This was informed by Nikolai Gorbachev, President of the Ukrainian Grain Association (UGA), APK-Inform writes.

He indicated that wheat exports may increase by 5.8% to 18 million tons, corn — by 10.5% to 21 million tons. Barley supplies in MY2018/19 may reduce by 6.5% to 4.3 million tons.

"In general, in 2018/19 the bulk yield of grain crops in Ukraine may increase by about 3% compared to the level of the current season and amount to 61.85 million tons," Nikolai Gorbachev concluded.

Reference: from the beginning of 2017/18, as of April 11, 2018, Ukraine exported 31.75 million tons of grain, which is 3.26 million tons less than over the corresponding period last year.
