Agricom Group opened flakes production plant worth USD 10.5 mln
Plant for the production of flakes under the TM Dobrodiya was today officially opened in Mykhailo-Kotsiubinskoye village (Chernigov region). The production complex is part of the Chernigov cluster of the agro-industrial company Agricom Group.
The production capacity of the plant for the production of flakes from grain crops is 1 million kg/month.
The enterprise is a full cycle production: cleaning, husking, grinding, hydrothermal processing, cutting, rolling and packing in various types of packaging.
The company informed that it took more than 3 years to implement the project from the idea to the completion of construction. The opening of the production complex will allow Agricom Group to reach the level of vertical integration with the production for ultimate consumer.
The project cost is USD 10.5 million, 40% of which are own funds, and the remaining 60% were attracted in the form of loans.
"Back in 2014, it was decided to be not just an agrarian company, but to begin production of high value-added products in order to be closer to the Ukrainian consumer and offer healthy, useful products grown on our land. Now we are again thinking about new ambitious goals," said Agricom Group's Executive Director Petro Melnyk.
The plant is supplied with Bühler equipment. The planned number of jobs is about 100 people.
In February 2018, the enterprise received a certificate of compliance in accordance with the requirements of the FSSC 22000 certification scheme for the quality and safety of food products.
It is planned to reach the full capacity by the end of the year. Irina Broslavtseva, the head of the processing and development of new products of TM Dobrodiya, noted that the production complex is a waste-free production.
The Group notes that Chernigov region provides for a full cycle of grain production — from the cultivation of oats to the actual production of finished products, which allows keeping the consistently high quality of products under control.
