Cereals and flakes import to Ukraine over 11M of 2017/18 boosted 2.4 times

In July-May MY2017/18, 30.2 thou. tons of cereals and flakes of all kinds were imported to Ukraine, which is a 2.4 times higher volume than the previous season's of 12.65 thou. tons, APK-Inform reports.

Large volumes of the produce were imported to Ukraine in MY 2013/14 when during the first 11 months of the season Ukraine imported 31.2 thou. tons of cereals and flakes.

In MY2013/14, more than 80% of cereals were imported from the Russian Federation. In 2017/18, the leader in supplies is Kazakhstan, the share in the total import of which is 67-87% a month. Moldova and Belarus follow the major suppliers, while the Russian Federation dropped to the 10th position.

Reference: plant for the production of flakes under the TM Dobrodiya was officially opened in Mykhailo-Kotsiubinskoye village (Chernigov region). The production complex is part of the Chernigov cluster of the agro-industrial company Agricom Group.
