Ukrainian grain exports close to 36 million tons

Since the beginning of MY2017/18, as of May 23, 2018, Ukraine exported 35.99 mln tons of grain, which is 3.68 mln tons less than over the corresponding period last year.

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine informs that wheat exports in the reporting period amounted to 15.95 mln tons, which is 501 thou. tons less as compared to the corresponding period last year.

Barley exports from the beginning of MY2017/18 totaled 4.19 mln tons (-962 thou. tons), corn — 15.66 mln tons (-2.18 million tons).

The export of rye in the reporting period amounted to 35 thou. tons.

Reference: in the year 2018, Ukrainian agrarians expect to harvest about 60 mln tons of grain crops, which will almost match the indicator of the previous year.
