Ukraine exported 4.6 million tons of grain since 2018

Since the beginning of 2018/19, Ukraine has exported 4.59 million tons of grain by August 22, 2018, which is 251 thousand tons less than during the same period last year.

 This is reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

 Ukraine has exported the following crops:

  • Wheat – 2.31 million tons (+117 thousand tons compared to the same period last year);
  • barley – 1.19 million tons (-409 thousand tons);
  • maize – 1.04 million tons;
  • rye – 11.5 thousand tons.

 It should be reminded that the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and participants of the grain market signed a Memorandum of Understanding for 2018/19. The total agreed indicative volume of wheat exports is 16 million tons.
