Grain Alliance started sunflower harvesting campaign

On August 27, Grain Alliance started sunflower harvesting campaign. All branches of the company in the south and north of Poltava region, Cherkassy and Kyiv regions joined the campaign. The harvest of sunflower in Chernihiv region will traditionally start later.

In Kyiv region, sunflower areas amount to 2.47 hectares. Sunflower is already harvested from the area of 244 hectares.

Reference: as of August 29, 2018, 241 thou. tons of sunflower are threshed in Ukraine from the area of 138 thou. hectares (2%) with a productivity of 1.75 t/ha.
