ROSTOK-HOLDING completed winter wheat sowing campaign

ROSTOK-HOLDING Group completed winter wheat sowing campaign for the next grain crop.

The branches of the company planted 9.2 thou. hectares with winter crops (autumn 2017: 6.7 thou. hectares). The share of winter wheat in the structure of the sown areas of the Group will reach 16%.

"All fields were prepared for the autumn planting campaign on time. Despite the increase in the price for material and technical resources and the delay in the supply of mineral fertilizers, the sowing of winter crops was carried out at the optimum time, all technological operations were observed. As for the influence of weather factors, this autumn in the farms of the region a low supply of moisture in the soil was detected. But already today we can see that the heavy rains at the beginning of the third decade of September have significantly improved the situation," commented Yuri Lebedev, Chief Agronomist of ROSTOK-HOLDING Group.

Currently, the branches of the Grop are carrying out late crops harvesting.

Previously it was reported that ROSTOK-HOLDING Group had increased grain drying capacity at its elevator complexes in Ichnya (Chernihiv region) and Hlukhiv (Sumy region).
