Louis Dreyfus net income for Jan-Jun amounted to USD 100 mln
For the six-month period ended June 30, 2018, Louis Dreyfus Company net income amounted to USD 100 million, versus USD 160 million for the same period the previous year.
Net sales remained constant at USD 18.8 billion, compared to the same period in 2017. Income before tax stood at USD 117 million, compared to USD 206 million at 30 June 2017.
Return on equity is reported at 5.2%, compared to 6.7% one year before.
Previously it was reported that LDC had appointed of a new Chief Executive Officer — Ian McIntosh. That appointment was followed by the resignation of Gonzalo Ramírez Martiarena as Chief Executive Officer, after 13 years with the company. Federico Cerisoli, Deputy Chief Financial Officer and Group Controller, had been appointed Group Chief Financial Officer.
