Svarog West Group installed six sprinklers for KWS corn irrigation
In Khmelnytsk region on the farmlands of Svarog West Group Corp. six 300-650 m sprinkling machines are installed for the irrigation of 350 hectares of KWS corn crops.
In 2016, the first sprinkler was installed on an area of 140 hectares. The results of its work in 2016 and especially in 2017 confirmed the feasibility of the decision to install sprinklers in the region.
In 2018, the company began the installation of the second phase of irrigation systems equipment and successfully put into operation five irrigation systems.
“The installation of pumps for water supply from the Dniester River (pumps for the first water rise) was carried out. The buffer capacity of 5.,000 cubic meters of water was repaired and commissioned. Water supply pumps for the sprinklers (pumps for the second water rise) and Valley irrigation machines were installed,” the company informed.
In the future, Svarog West Group together with its partner in the cultivation of corn seeds, KWS-UKRAINE, is planning to put into operation a system for monitoring residual moisture on irrigated lands and introducing automatic irrigation of these lands. In this region, it is also planned to increase the irrigated area to 450 hectares.
Earlier it was reported that the production and technology laboratories of Svarog West Group Corp. had successfully passed the assessment of measurement capaсities in accordance with the scope of measurement.
