Ukraine exported 66% less pork in Jan-Sep

Export of pork from Ukraine in January-September 2018 decreased to 1.49 thou. tons, which is 65.8% less than in the prior-year period.

By the data of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, the major importers of pork are Hong Kong (USD 1 796 thou.), Georgia (USD 634 thou.) and Vietnam (USD 528 thou.). Deliveries to these countries amounted to 0.83 thou. tons, 0.29 thou. tons and 0.24 thou. tons, respectively.

However, pork imports to Ukraine in January-September stand at 19.67 thou. tons.

Previously it was reported that the Austrian farmer Thomas Brunner had planned to build another pig complex in Cherkasy region worth of USD 3 million.
