Grain shipments from Ukraine reduced 75 thou. tons

As of October 31, 2018, Ukraine exported 13.29 million tons of grain, which is 75 thou. tons less than the indicator for the corresponding period of MY2017/18.

According to the data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the volumes of exported crops are as follows:

  • wheat — 7.54 million tons, which is 529 thou. tons less compared to the corresponding period last year;
  • corn — 2.8 million tons (+1.08 million);
  • barley — 2.69 million tons (–847 thou. tons);
  • rye — 63 thou. tons.

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine has again revised the crop 2018 estimate upwards — the expected volume of grain production is at 64 million tons.
