MHP authorized for the purchase of Slovenian Perutnina Ptuj

The agro-industrial holding Myronivsky Hliboproduct (MHP) has been authorized by the Commission for the Protection of Competition of the Republic of Serbia for the purchase of 90.69% of the shares of Perutnina Ptuj, a well-established and vertically integrated company in Southeast Europe, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

“The planned concentration will be carried out on the basis of a stock purchase agreement. After the transaction, MHP SE will own 90.69% of the shares in Perutninе. Perutnine-related companies in Serbia are engaged in broiler production, egg incubation, production and sale of fresh and processed poultry meat,” the Serbian agency informs.

On September 26, 2018, MHP confirmed that it was seeking to acquire Perutnina Ptuj following the announcement from the Slovenian Competition Protection Agency.
