Major grain terminals in Jan-Oct 2018: top 10 facilities

The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) reported on 31.7 million tons of grain cargo and perishables in the period from January to October 2018, Zernovoz.in.ua informs. 

“In 10 months of 2018, a third of all grain and foodstuffs was proceeded by the Nikolaev seaport, the transshipment of which during the reporting period amounted to 9.8 million tons (+ 29.4% to 10 months of 2017). Among the leaders are the Chernomorsk seaport, with a 23% share of transshipment (7.2 million tons, + 8.7% y-o-y), Yuzhny seaport — 18.7% of all shipped grain (5.9 million tons, –16.5% y-o-y) and Odessa seaport — 16.8% (5.3 million tons, –18.4% y-o-y),” the message says.

By the results of January-October 2018, the key grain cargo sea transhipment terminals are as follows:

  1. Yuzhny seaport — TIS — 5 460 thou. tons;
  2. Chernomosk seaport — TransBulkTerminal (Kernel) — 3 115 thou. tons;
  3. Mykolaiv seaport — Nika-Tera — 2 665 thou. tons;
  4. Mykolaiv seaport — Danube Shipping-Stevedoring Company — 2 640 thou. tons;
  5. Chernomosk seaport — Ilichevsk Grain Terminal — 2 270 thou. tons;
  6. Mykolaiv seaport — NIBULON — 2 210 thou. tons;
  7. Mykolaiv seaport — Greentour-Ex (Bunge) —2 190 thou. tons;
  8. Odessa seaport — Olimpex Coupe Int. — 1 480 thou. tons;
  9. Odessa seaport — Ukrelevatorprom — 1 300 thou. tons;
  10. Odessa seaport — Brooklyn-Kyiv — 1 105 thou. tons.
