Harvest Online 2018: grains set a new record

By November 19, 2018, grain and leguminous crops have been harvested on 14.3 mln ha or 96% of the areas. According to the Harvest Online 2018 project, 66.4 mln tons of grain have been threshed with a productivity of 4.65 tons/ha (2017: 4.18 tons/ha).

The yields are reported as follows:

  • corn — 31.3 mln tons on 4.1 mln ha (90%) with a productivity of 7.59 tons/ha (2017: 5.23 tons/ha);
  • buckwheat — 136 thou. tons on 108 thou. ha (99%) with a productivity of 1.26 tons/ha (2017: 1.1 tons/ha);
  • millet — 78 thou. tons on 51 thou. ha (98%) with a productivity of 1.54 tons/ha (2017: 1.47 tons/ha);
  • sunflower — 13.8 mln tons on 6 mln ha (99%) with a productivity of 2.28 tons/ha (2017: 2.01 tons/ha);
  • soybean — 4.3 mln tons on 1.7 mln ha (99%) with a productivity of 2.57 tons/ha (2017: 1.92 tons/ha);
  • sugar beet — 13.1 mln tons on 265 thou. ha (95%) with a productivity of 49.4 tons/ha (2017: 45.4 tons/ha). 11.5 mln tons are delivered to processing facilities.

The highest productivity of grain and leguminous crops is registered in Khmelnytsk region — 7.2 tons/ha, Cherkasy region — 7.1 tons/ha, Vinnytsia region — 7.01 tons/ha, Kyiv region — 6.63 tons/ha, Sumy region — 6.58 tons/ha and Poltava region — 6.37 tons/ha.
