Grain export from Ukraine should reach 47 mln t in 2018/19

Grain exports in MY2018/19 may increase to 47 million tons, compared to 39.9 million tons in the previous marketing year, Zn.ua informs.

The total exports are expected to reach 47 million tons, although the market analysts gave a higher estimate — 50 million tons. At the same time, wheat supplies are expected to reach 16 million tons, i.e. 8 million tons of milling and fodder wheat.

Since the start of MY2018/19 (as of January 2), the volumes of exported grain crops are as follows:

  • wheat — 10.46 million tons, (0.79 mln tons less y-o-y);
  • corn — 9.11 million tons (3.54 mln tons more y-o-y);
  • barley — 3.14 million tons (0.66 mln tons less y-o-y);
  • rye — 80 thou. tons.
